TETRA infrastructure
DAMM Cellular A/S is a leading manufacturer of professional radio system components based in Sonderborg/Denmark. With the TetraFlex radio system, DAMM developed a unique TETRA system in the early 2000s, which has been marketed extremely successfully worldwide ever since. Since the manufacturer Damm is not involved in direct marketing, sales are handled by regional accredited system partners. Since 2006, ATS Elektronik GmbH is the accredited system partner of DAMM for the sales area Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Lichtenstein. ATS supports its affiliated specialist trade partners and system houses in implementing their TETRA projects in the respective regions.
In addition, ATS uses TetraFlex systems in its own projects in various fields of application, such as wind energy offshore parks.
The TetraFlex system is the first Tetra system without a central transferring technology. By consistently using IP communication right from the start, the use of a decentralized distributed intelligence was implemented. The scalability of the TetraFlex system and the low requirements concerning the environmental conditions at the sites positively distinguish the TetraFlex technology from other systems.
