TETRA Telemetrie- und Kommunikationsmodul Modbus

It is a frequent requirement to link automation control systems over a distance of several kilometers. With TETRA you can link these systems quickly and effectively to to exchange short data packages (SDS - short data service). The SDS service allows you to transmit data of up to 140 bytes in one package.

The TETRA module MOD102 makes it possible to communicate via Modbuy by using the TETRA network. The integrated TOM100 TETRA modem is used to access the TETRA network. The MOD102 can be connected with up to eight Phoenix expansion modules to form a remote telecontrol unit. Input signals are transferred and commands can be sent to outputs.

Central Office

The MOD102 transmits the data of the Phoenix Contact modules to a central office, which may also control the MOD102. The respective software is either already available in the company or has to be developed. The central office can be connected via a radio but can also be directly integrated into the radio system via network. The central office is then addressable via an ISSI in the TETRA network. The relevant interface protocol information is provided in a separate document.

ATS Elektronik GmbH provides support for development of an appropriate software or interface - please contact us.
